Dakotah

Sculpture Number 149

Dakotah was created completely by hand.  No molds were used during his creation, and no molds were taken from him after his creation. He is therefore completely One of a Kind (OOAK), never to be duplicated.

Dakotah started life as a sturdy wire armature.  He was created using Prosculpt polymer clay, a blend of 2 colors.  His white inset eyes were painted using heat set oil, and areas of his body were also blushed with the same heat set oil paints.  He has a black mohawk made of Tibetan mohair, along with strands of hair wrapped in string that hang from the bottom.  He has real eyelashes and eyebrows.  He wears a handmade tooth necklace, and an armband.  His removable loincloth is made from black fabric, decorated with feathers and fur.  He is anatomically correct.  His wings are made from mixed media.

Dakotah kneels at 5 inches high, and just over 6 inches long.

Thank you for your interest in my work!
